Luke Matone Architect is a design-led practice based in Ventry, Dingle, County Kerry. Established in 2024 by Luke Matone — a registered architect and member of the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI) — the studio focuses primarily on residential projects, from carefully considered renovations and extensions to bespoke new-build homes.
With over a decade of experience in award-winning practices in the UK and Switzerland, Luke brings a collaborative, sustainability-focused approach shaped by a deep respect for place. He seeks to create architecture that is both purposeful and poetic — drawing on Ireland’s cultural and environmental richness, and blending contemporary design with vernacular typologies, local materials, and traditional craftsmanship.
The studio’s process is rooted in making: physical models and hand-drawn studies are used throughout to test spatial ideas, refine proportion and light, and offer clients a clear, tactile understanding of the emerging architecture. By grounding design in material and scale, each project remains both conceptually rigorous and experientially legible from the outset.
Every project is shaped by its context, with an emphasis on atmosphere, proportion, and detail — creating enduring, site-specific spaces that quietly enrich daily life.
