Luke Matone Architect is an emerging architectural practice based in Ventry, County Kerry, Ireland. Founded in 2024 by Luke Matone, a registered architect and member of the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI), the practice specialises in high-end residential architecture, focusing on renovations, extensions, and bespoke new-build projects.
With over a decade of international experience in award-winning architectural practices in the UK and Switzerland, Luke brings a design-led approach grounded in sustainability, contextual sensitivity, and collaboration. Luke is passionate about creating unique, site-specific spaces that respond thoughtfully to Ireland’s rich cultural and environmental context. Drawing inspiration from vernacular typologies and construction techniques, each project is an opportunity to bring delight to the everyday, blending contemporary design with local materials and craftsmanship.

Luke studied architecture at Kingston University (RIBA Part I), London Metropolitan University (RIBA Part II) and the University of Westminster (RIBA Part III). He trained as an architect in the offices of Christ & Gantenbein (2012-2013) and Herzog & de Meuron (2013-2014) in Switzerland, and later with Jonathan Tuckey Design (2014), Casey Fierro (2016) and Morris+Company (2017-2023) in London UK.
Born in Bristol, he has been living in Ventry, Co. Kerry, Ireland since 2023, establishing his practice in 2024.
Luke is a registered architect in Ireland and member of the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI).

We provide a comprehensive and friendly personal service following a well structured process in line with guidelines set out by the RIAI.
We can offer different types of appointments and agreements from hourly consultations, to being involved in certain stages only, to managing a project from design to completion.
We are building a network of consultants for any reports required for planning and construction, and can advise on what will be required early on in the process.
