Founded in 2023, on the narrow border between land and sea, Luke Matone Architect is a design-led practice pursuing thoughtful projects that aim to be specific, appropriate and unique.
Luke Matone, Founder
BA hons, M Arch, PGDip, MRIAI Architect
Luke studied architecture at Kingston University (RIBA Part I), London Metropolitan University (RIBA Part II) and the University of Westminster (RIBA Part III). He trained as an architect in the offices of Christ & Gantenbein (2012-2013) and Herzog & de Meuron (2013-2014) in Basel Switzerland, and later with Jonathan Tuckey Design (2014) and Morris+Company (2017-2023) in London UK.
Originally from Bristol, he has been based in Dingle, Co. Kerry, Ireland since 2020, establishing his practice in 2023. Alongside practice he has taught architecture at the University of Navarra in Pamplona and can often be found sailing in Ventry harbour.
Luke is a registered architect in Ireland and member of the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI).

We provide a comprehensive and friendly personal service following a well structured process in line with guidelines set out by the RIAI.
We can offer different types of appointments and agreements from hourly consultations, to being involved in certain stages only, to managing a project from design to completion.
We are building a network of quality consultants for any reports required for planning and construction, and can advise on what will be required early on in the process.
