Luke Matone Architect is a design-led, RIAI-registered architecture and interior design studio based in Ceann Trá, Co. Kerry. Established in 2024, the studio works across a diverse range of projects, approaching each new challenge with curiosity, care, and a rigorous design process.

Projects are informed by a sensitive engagement with place, material, and context. Historic, spatial, and environmental qualities are explored in close dialogue with clients, resulting in architecture that is both pragmatic and poetic

With over a decade of experience in award-winning practices in the UK and Switzerland, Luke brings a collaborative, tactile approach grounded in a deep respect for place. His work draws on Ireland’s cultural and environmental richness, blending contemporary design with vernacular forms, local materials, and traditional craftsmanship.

Each project is shaped by its unique context, with a strong emphasis on atmosphere, proportion, and detail, creating enduring, site-specific spaces that enrich the everyday.

Luke studied architecture at Kingston University (RIBA Part I), London Metropolitan University (RIBA Part II) and the University of Westminster (RIBA Part III).

Services
We offer a comprehensive and personal architectural service — clear, structured, and fully aligned with RIAI standards. No jargon, just good design.

Whether you’re looking for a one-off consultation, guidance through a particular stage, or full architectural services from first sketch to completion, we can tailor our involvement to suit your needs and budget.

We’re also building a trusted local network of consultants in planning, surveying, and construction. This helps identify what’s needed early on, so your project runs smoothly from the start.

And if your site is within 10 km of Ventry, Luke will cycle to site visits whenever he can — a small gesture toward lowering carbon emissions, and a lovely way to take in the view.
